7 Days To Die
"For my Game Development final, I will be working with the 7 Days To Die mod engine. Within this engine, I am able to freely create hills, floors and walls, use any and all blocks in the base game, use dev tools such as the super digger, create playable areas for players to traverse, and directly access the code to manipulate aspects within the game such as zombie spawning.
I've chosen this game mod engine because I have some experience within the game and enjoy modding and building within it. What I plan to do within this mod is essentially create a replica of my school to the best measurements I can, then turn it into a TFP POI. A TFP POI is a type of building the developers have created so the layout is similar to a maze. For example, you may go through the front door, but all doors after are locked, so you have to go through a hole in the wall, and climb onto the roof to go through another hole to get past another locked door I have used this engine before, so I anticipate this project being fun yet difficult. The replica of the school is proving to be tedious but will be worth it.
The first thing that I'll be doing this week is creating the second floor after finishing the first. This should take me roughly 1 or 2 hours to complete."

Below are a collection of images of my progress so far
Here I have made whats called a "Learning Staircase". This is a structure in our school that acts as a sort of place for students to gather for social or school wide interactions
This is the teachers lounge. If you haven't noticed, I've put a zombie in the image for reference of size
This is a teachers classroom. Mr.Goethe has one of the smallest classrooms, but this image make sit look bigger than intended
This is a neighboring classroom thats argued to be the smallest and most cramped in he school.
this is the office space of Mr.Samandi, our schools business counselor, who helps students get internships and the likes
this is a furniture piece I have created. I used metal pieces of corrugated metal and painted them blue to look like cloth. These in real life are used as personal student spaces so students can work in private
here is the left hallway of the school. I created the red tall couches using plates. To the left, are benches for students to sit. near the couch is an inspirational couch which is present in the real school.
above is a standard classroom on the left side of the school. The desks are from the other classroom shown above. The furniture pieces in the back are similar to personal student pods but are taller and are used with tall chairs. I used half plates at the top so it wasnt six feet tall
this a neighboring classroom which has chemistry tables. The one time ive been in here there was a bit of a mess, so I achieved this effect using small trash piles and cardboard boxes to achieve a sense of chaos and disorderly.
here is another smaller classroom. The furniture pieces in the back are bigger student pods which are made of a lighter gray cloth and can fit up to two students. Chairs not included
this a storage closet next to the elevator. Since ive never been in here, I had to assume what was inside. In this case, I put janitorial carts and boxes
